09: 00 A.M.  Homage to the Lord Buddha (Somdetphranawamintarasasda)
Congregation prepares “donation trees” (Papah) for presentation as contributions to
the fund for building a new temple.
10 : 30 A.M. Homage to the Triple Gem
President of ceremonies lights candles and joss sticks in honor of the Buddha,
the Dhamma and the Sangha and leads the congregation in requesting the Five Precepts from
the Sangha.
Head monk gives and congregation receives the Five Precepts.
President asks the Sangha for blessings.
The Sangha blesses the congregation.
Congregation assembles for a group photograph.
Offering of alms (tahk baht)to the monks
11 : 15 A.M. Offering of lunch to monks
Congregation also partakes of lunch.
11 : 30 A.M. Students of the Sunday School perform traditional Thai dances and Concert.
12 : 30 A.M. Congregation collects offerings in appreciation of the sermon and presents the collection,
the Papah,
and alms to the monks.
President invites congregation to pour lustral water on the Buddha image.
Congregation also pours lustral water over the hands of the monks and elder members of
the community.
Homage and conclusion of festivities
Head monk blesses the congregation. The other monks join in extending the blessings.                                          The congregation receives the blessings.
