ขอเชิญร่วมพิธีทำบุญวันสารทไทย ฟังเทศน์มหาชาติเวสสันดรชาดก

“สารทไทย “ หมายถึง เทศกาลทำบุญสิ้นเดือนสิบของไทย จะตรงกับวันแรม ๑๕ ค่ำ เดือน ๑๐ ของทุกปี เป็นประเพณีการทำบุญเพื่ออุทิศส่วนกุศลให้แก่บรรพบุรุษญาติพี่น้องผู้ล่วงลับไปแล้วเพื่อให้ท่านได้มีโอกาสทำบุญใน วันสำคัญนี้ วัดนว มินทรราชูทิศ เฉลิมพระเกียรติ นครเคมบริดจ์-บอสตัน จึงจัดงานทำบุญ “สารทไทย” ขึ้น ในวัน อาทิตย์ที่ ๑๘ กันยายน พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๙ มีกำหนดการ ดังนี้
เวลา ๐๙. ๐๐ น. – รวบรวมรายชื่อ ตั้งรูปภาพ (ผู้ที่ล่วงลับ) เพื่อบังสุกุลอุทิศส่วนกุศล ณ อาคารมหาวชิราลงกรณ และเปิดให้บูชาถาดผลไม้ฉลากภัตร
– จัดตั้งต้นผ้าป่ามหากุศล วันสารทไทย
เวลา ๑๐.๑๕ น. – ประธานพิธี จุดธูปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัย
– เจ้าหน้าที่อาราธนาศีล ประธานสงฆ์ให้ศีล เจ้าหน้าที่อาราธนาพระปริตร
-พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์
เวลา ๑๐.๔๕ น. – พิธีทำบุญตักบาตร
เวลา ๑๑.๑๕ น. – ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์ / พุทธศาสนิกชนรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน
เวลา ๑๒.๐๐ น. – พิธีถวายฉลากภัตร (ผลไม้)
เวลา ๑๒.๓๐ น. – พุทธศาสนิกชนพร้อมกัน ณ สถานที่จัดงาน
– เจ้าหน้าที่อาราธนาธรรม
– แสดงพระธรรมเทศนามหาชาติ เวสสันดรชาดก ๑๓ กัณฑ์ ๓ ธรรมาสน์ โดยพระนักเทศน์แหล่ชื่อดัง
– ประธานในพิธี พร้อมเจ้าภาพกัณฑ์เทศน์ ถวายไทยธรรม แด่องค์แสดงธรรมเทศนา
– พิธีบังสุกุลชื่อ รูปภาพ เพื่ออุทิศส่วนกุศลแก่ผู้ที่ล่วงลับ
– ถวายต้นผ้าป่ามหากุศลวันสารทไทย
– ถวายเครื่องไทยธรรม ประธานสงฆ์กล่าวสัมโมทนียกถา พระสงฆ์อนุโมทนา
– ประธานสงฆ์ประพรมน้ำพุทธมนต์ มอบของที่ระลึก
– ถ่ายรูปหมู่ร่วมกัน เป็นอันเสร็จพิธี

Wat Nawamintararachutis invites you to come celebrate Sart Thai Day (The Buddhist Memorial Day)
Memorial and Festival on Sunday, September 18, 2016

It is a day to make merit at the end of Thai lunar calendar 10th month of September and remember the dead with prayers, merged with Buddhist rituals and merit making and Sart Thai Festival is a sort of Memorial Day in Thailand. It is an occasion for making merit by honoring (buucha) the spirits of the season, as well as one’s deceased relatives, according to local tradition, with various rites and ceremonies celebrated at Wat Nawamintararachutis. It is a very special occasion when the living have the opportunity to show respect for their deceased relatives by making merit for them on Sart Day. Wat Nawamintararachutis building is in honor of Phra Promwachirayan and the Sangha gather daily to practice the Dhamma in his honor.
President will lead congregation in program will be as follows:
09:00 AM – Gather list of names or pictures of deceased family members and offer merit in their memory. Set up and place robes (special cloth) and items of merit (tamboon) on alter for later presentation
and offerings to the monks and to attain great blessings on this Sart Thai Day.
10:15 AM – President of Ceremony lights the joss sticks and candles then offers to the Buddha image and the abbot then the precept are recited and the abbot blesses the congregation followed by chanting by
the monks.
– Master of ceremonies leads the congregation in requesting Five Precepts from the sangha.
– Head monk gives and congregation receives the Five Prececpts.
– Master of ceremonies asks the sangha for blessing.
– Monks bless the congregation.
10:45 AM – The congregation will give food offerings ( tak baat) into a Buddhist monk’s alms bowls.
11:15 AM – Offering of lunch to the monks.
12.30 PM – The congregation will return to the temple to practice the Dhamma
– Buddhist sermon reading of the canon stories of the Gautama Buddha.
– The President offers merit to the abbot for the Lenten season.
– Ceremony where you place the name of deceased family member on a golden platter to give merit in honor of people who have passed away
– Offer gifts to all the monks (articles that are suitable for alms) and the abbot gives a speech to the congregation to express the monks gratitude.
– The abbot sprinkles the lustral water on the congregation to bless them.
– All the congregation gathers with the monks to take photographs.
