วันสงกรานต์ ถือเป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ของคนไทยที่ยึดถือปฏิบัติสืบต่อกันมาแต่ครั้งโบราณกาลจนถึงปัจจุบัน เป็นเทศกาลที่สดงออกถึงความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่อผู้มีพระคุณ เช่น การสงน้ำพระพุทธรูป การสรงน้ำพระสงฆ์ การรดน้ำขอพรจากผู้ใหญ่ และการทำบุญอัฐิอุทิศส่วนกุศลให้แก่บรรพบุรุษผู้ล่วงลับไปแล้ว เพราะฉะนั้นคนไทยจึงนิยมเรียกวันนี้ว่า “วันแห่งความกตัญญู” หรือ “วันผู้สูงอายุ”
วัดนวมินทรราชูทิศ เฉลิมพระเกียรติ แห่งนครบอสตัน เมืองเคมบริดจ์-เรย์นแฮม มลรัฐแมสซาชูเซตส์ สหรัฐอเมริกา พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการจัดงานวันมหาสงกรานต์ ประจำปีพุทธศักราช ๒๕๖๓ ดังมีกำหนดการดังนี้

เวลา ๐๙.๓๐ น. – เปิดโอกาสให้สาธุชนนมัสการ พระพุทธนวมินทรบรมศาสดา พระพุทธนวมงคลราชบพิตร พระพุทธภูมินทรมหามงคล
                    –  ตั้งกองผ้าป่าสามัคคีสมทบทุนสร้างวัดนวมินทรราชูทิศ เฉลิมพระเกียรติ
                     – ออกร้านการกุศลต่างๆ สรงน้ำพระพุทธรูป ก่อเจดีย์ทราย ถวายสังฆทาน
                     (ตลอดงาน)  ชมการแสดง  ร่วมรำวงงานวันมหาสงกรานต์
เวลา ๑๐.๐๐ น.  – ประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ / ประธานฝ่ายฆราวาส สาธุชนผู้มาร่วมงานพิธี พร้อมเพรียงกัน ณ อาคารมหาวชิราลงกรณ
                     – ประธานพิธีฝ่ายฆราวาส จุดธูปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัย
                     – ศาสนพิธีกร กล่าวนำคำบูชาพระรัตนตรัย สมาทานเบญจศีล
                     – ประธานสงฆ์ ให้ศีล
                     – สาธุชนแขกผู้มีเกียรติร่วมงาน รับศีล
                     – พิธีบังสุกุลอัฐิ พิธีถวายผ้าป่าสามัคคีสมทบทุนบำรุงอาราม
                     – ประธานพิธีฝ่ายฆราวาส จุดเครื่องทองน้อยโต๊ะหมู่หน้าอัฐิ-  พระสงฆ์สวดทักษิณานุปทาน-  ประธานพิธีฝ่ายฆราวาส แขกผู้มีเกียรติ ทอดผ้าบังสุกุล-  พระสงฆ์พิจารณาผ้าบังสุกล
                     – ศาสนพิธีกร กล่าวนำถวายผ้าป่าสามัคคี
                     – สาธุชน แขกผู้มีเกียรติกล่าวคำถวายผ้าป่าสามัคคี
                     – ประธานสงฆ์ พิจารณาผ้าป่ามหาบังสุกุล
                     – ประธานพิธีฝ่ายฆราวาส พร้อมด้วยแขกผู้มีเกียรติ ถวายไทยธรรม แด่พระสงฆ์
                     – ประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ กล่าวอนุโมทนากถา
                     – พระสงฆ์กระทำอนุโมทนาวิธี
                     – สาธุชน แขกผู้มีเกียรติ กรวดน้ำ รับพร
                     – ถ่ายภาพร่วมกัน
                     – สาธุชน แขกผู้มีเกียรติ ผู้เข้าประกวดเทพีสงกรานต์ ทำบุญตักบาตรปัจจัย ข้าวสารอาหารแห้ง
เวลา ๑๑.๑๕ น.  – ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์  สาธุชนรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน
เวลา ๑๒.๓๐ น.  – พิธีสรงน้ำพระ รดน้ำขอพร ญาติผู้ใหญ่ ประกวดเทพีสงกรานต์ สรงน้ำพระ รดน้ำขอพรญาติผู้ใหญ่
                     – ถ่ายภาพหมู่ร่วมกัน เป็นเสร็จพิธี.

หมายเหตุ กำหนดการนี้อาจมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ตามความเหมาะสม

On Sunday, April 25, 2021 {B.E. 2564}

Songkran is the ancient Thai New Year Celebration. It is regarded as a cultural event handed down through generations until the present day.
This celebration includes religious ceremonies like Alms Offering watering of the Buddha Statue and other ways of merit-making. The ceremony emphasizes moral virtues, such as gratitude and respect to senior persons. It is symbolically “The Day of Gratitude” to give honor to those in seniority.

The Chairperson for this year festival,  President of Ceremony is sponsoring the Songkran 2021 Festivities and her / his honorary committees would like to invite all to attend this year Songkran Festival

PROGRAM

09:00 AM       Homage to the Lord Buddha (Somdet Phra Bhumintaramahamongkol)
                     All guests are welcome to pay homage to Somdetphranawamintarasasda and Congregation prepares “donation trees” (Papah)                            for presentation as contributions to the fund for building a new temple.
10:30 AM       Homage to the Triple Gem
                     President of ceremonies lights candles and joss sticks in honor of the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha and leads the congregation in            requesting the Five Precepts from the Sangha.
                     Head monk gives and congregation receives the Five Precepts.
                     President asks the Sangha for blessings.
                     The Sangha blesses the congregation.
10:45 AM       Congregation collects offerings in appreciation of the sermon and
                     Presents the collection, the Papah.
                     Homage and conclusion of ceremonies.
                     President thanks the congregation for their participation.
                     Head monk blesses the congregation. The other monks join in extending the blessings. The congregation receives the blessing.
                     Ceremony for paying tribute to monks and the elders. Poring of lustral water to honor the monks an expression of thanks by                            the president of the ceremony.
                     Congregation assembles for a group photograph.
11:00 AM       Offering of alms (tak baht) to the monks
11:30 AM       Offering of lunch to monks / Congregation also partakes of lunch.
                     Students of the Sunday School perform traditional Thai dances.
12:00 PM       Sermon on the Dharma
                     Dhammadesana(Dhamma Talk presented in Thai by a monk).
                     Offering Ceremony of flowers, candles, and incense in connection with Songkran Festival (dedication of merit to the ancestors)
12:30 PM       There will be a Songkran beauty contest 2018, with awards, etc.
                     Cultural program: Thai classical musical music and dance.
                     Students of the Sunday School of Wat Nawamintararachutis and CCE Chiangmai Cultural Exchange
